Before you go to a New Construction development, remember the Real Estate Salesman hired by a builder is exactly that . . . a salesman.
He is there representing the builder, not you! He has a responsibility to protect the builder. If there is a problem, and you don't feel the builder is cooperating, who will you turn to? This is probably the largest investment you’ll ever make, don’t go without professional representation. A Buyer’s Agent is there for you. The greatest fear for buyers is that they can get a better deal if they go by themselves. That’s plain and simply not true. A Buyers Agent gets compensated through a pre-existing brokerage agreement. If fact, with the market conditions we have now I can often negotiate special deals for you.
